Kissimmee car service for hotels and vacation homes

Kissimmee is where a lot of Orlando visitors actually sleep: the hotels along US 192 and thousands of rental homes in gated communities. A private car gets you from the airport to the right house, gate code and all.

A cattle town that became a base camp

Kissimmee is the seat of Osceola County, southeast of the theme park resort area along the US 192 corridor. Ranching shaped it for most of its history, until the arrival of the big resorts in 1971 turned it toward visitors. Today the county’s tourism office calls it “The Vacation Home Capital of the World”, and on a busy arrivals evening that is easy to believe.

For a family, staying here usually means a home with a pool and a kitchen, about 12 to 13 miles from the theme parks. It also means an arrival into a gated community you have never seen, often after dark.

Before you land: three details that prevent a wait at the gate

  1. The community name and full street address

Many developments share similar street names, and some homes marketed as “Kissimmee” are closer to ChampionsGate or Davenport.

  2. The gate code or gatehouse procedure

Ask your host before you fly and put it in the booking.

  3. The house number as it appears on the house

Rental homes can be hard to tell apart at night.

Gaylord Palms

Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, at 6000 W. Osceola Parkway, is one of the largest convention hotels in the area, with 1,718 guest rooms. If you are flying in for an event there, give us the hotel name and we drop you at the main entrance. For teams, see corporate car service.

Questions travellers ask

What is the drive time from the airport to Kissimmee?

About 20 miles, roughly 20 to 30 minutes without traffic. Exactly where you are staying, along US 192 or deep in a rental community, changes that.

Can you pick us up from a vacation home?

Yes. Give us the community, the street address and the gate code or gatehouse instructions, and your driver comes to the door.

Do you have room for a stroller, car seats and a week of bags?

Tell us exactly what you are bringing when you book. A minivan or SUV typically suits a family of up to six; larger parties fit in a passenger van.

Is Kissimmee close to the theme parks?

Fairly. The Kissimmee tourism office puts it at about 12 to 13 miles from the major parks, around 25 minutes.
