About Dr. Phillips

The community takes its name from Philip Phillips, a citrus grower whose groves once covered what is now Bay Hill and Sand Lake Hills. Water makes up about 30 percent of its area.

The restaurants locals call Restaurant Row line Sand Lake Road west of I-4, as far as Apopka-Vineland, and weekend evenings there are busy.
